Team Discovers Key Savings Through Prescription Transfers

Helping our members and patients find easy and convenient ways to manage prescriptions is an important part of the care experience. Members of a Northwest pharmacy team did just that by working with their analytics colleagues to identify Kaiser Permanente members filling high-cost medications outside KP pharmacies. Pharmacy technicians reached out to those members to explain the benefits of our prescription delivery options and helped them transfer their prescriptions to KP. The result? Cost savings for the organization and for our members, who enjoy the added convenience of receiving prescriptions by mail.
